Problems setting up super safety

I am setting up my super safety for use and have found that the rear of the trigger won't recess into the safety as is intended because it is too wide. Does anyone have any recommendations for triggers where this may not be a problem, because otherwise I'm gonna probably spend another 2 hours sanding this trigger.
