well for starters i just built this about 4 days ago, i’ve only shot 1 fmj out it casing cleared properly and next round was chambered, the guide rod is poking out as you can see in the picture, and when the slide is locked back i am unable to push down slide catch even with excessive force, i presume this is because the guide rod isn’t seated properly on the barrel every time i put the slide on the guide rod just pops out of place forward a bit (as you can see in the picture) and i’m aswell presuming that the slide catch won’t go down because since the guide rod is pressed forward it’s creating extra tension so slide catch can’t even get pushed down because the slide is so tight ! let me know guys!

I’ve read mixed things online about using carbon fiber PLA to make lowers for Glocks. I am attempting to do it and I have the parts kit arriving soon. I am excited to see how it’s going to turn out regardless of the results being disappointing or not. I’m wondering if anyone else has any experience attempting to use carbon fiber PLA in a lower for a Glock and how it turned out for them. I’d say it looks pretty awesome(still could use some more sanding) and it definitely feels great. I hope to hear from someone who has tried it before !

Firat of all i apolpgize if this ppst is inapropriate becauee it isn't actually fosscad engineering blender or slicer or cad related, but fosscad is so much more now and of course we all know what it's REALLY for and how it kinda hides behind its label BUT u believe that's a fair natural result of humans simply being more interested about 3d modeling for guns than for anything else. Fosscad and guns, like erowid and drugs,is a gateway to science and a lot of people in 3d printing get into manufacturing at home later and its exactly what Trump wants right? Its like one of the only surefire ways you could taje nack jobs from China dwitching americans to buying competivivky priced american made 3d printed tiys and games etc lol.
Honestly the government should be happy young Americans are getting on their own interested in manufacturing/3d

some minor fitting required depends on print setting. I didn't have time to write up a full instruction for this, but I think the picture provided should be sufficient for anyone to follow. If there are still questions, please comment below.
The Trigger Safety piece can be modify to limit pre-travel and over-travel. I haven't explore this direction yet. it's should a pretty easy modification.
The next step on the project timeline is to have the safety ring interact with the FRT DROP IN piece to maintain a SEMI ONLY mode.
**Even thou this mod is compatible with the FRT DROP IN, but there are still many issues needed to be resolved for a safe FRT Experience. OOB will inevitable ha

The Ark @fosscad.io Any chances of saving this?

While making ECM barrel I had to stop because I wasn't able to measure precisely the ID. It is mostly 8.73-75, but reaches 8.8 in some angulations and is below 8.7 in others. I now noticed there are a lot of striations on the inside, and most of the rust is formed there. Also they can be the reason behind the bad measures
Question 1: any possibility of saving this? Maybe with honing brushes and a lot of patience
Question 2: is this caused by bad boring process? Boring rod was not the smoothest and I put it back inside without cleaning it every time (Used citric acid too so I had no sludge but the rod became black quite quickly)
First time doing ECM, surprised by how easy and quickly it cuts but quite disappointed with the result Also maybe turning the tube upside down more often could avoid misalignment or disparity in m

The Ark @fosscad.io Thoughts on pinning a quick guide for laws?

Ive been in the community for a long time and i frequently see legal discussions in the comments, people pointing out a build being illegal, or questioning tax stamp status, or people arguing and quoting the law wrong, or people harassing the law commenters with bs like "free men dont ask" well sure but dogs also only live once. Im not saying a full guide guaranteeing legality, just a quick reference for clarity maybe focused more on the vague areas. Although theres a rule to always research your laws, i feel that only covers the subreddits ass but leaves bare that of my fellow comrades. Furthermore, at worst it has no effect but at best it stands to improve public image. An example of this is the law on stocks. Its illegal to convert a factory stock to pistol grip only, even if the OAL is 26" and barrel is
