Brace or Stock?

I posted a pic (now deleted) with this MCXish Brace installed on a firearm. I am on the side that this is a brace, but I'm getting mixed answers from people. Some are saying it's fine, some are saying it's a stock because it "has a flat spot on the back" (which is a stupid argument imo).

So I just want to get some thoughts on this, because I genuinely don't know what to think.

And yes, I know I should talk to a lawyer or something for legitimate answers. This is purely for discussion.

P.S. The ATF is dog ass
