So I finally started on my journey outside of glock-world and put together a FN 5.7.With the hammer pack and slide already assembled, Id say this build is much easier than a glock. But then again, a glock is pretty straight forward as it is.Nonetheless I would rate the build difficulty at a 5.
1 very easy, 10 very difficult.
Outside of the printed frame(sunlu pla+ 2.0), the only printed part I used was the slide takedown lever. The printed slide lock/release button didnt want to stay attached. Even withusing super glue. So I just used the button that came with the kit.. Along withsome super glue, as even that button wouldnt stay attached to the slide lock lever.
When I took the completed frame to the range, it took about 20 rounds or so forthe thing to cycle properly. After that I could run a full mag without malfunction.Used a FN OEM magazine.
I'd have to say this is now my favorite build to shoot. And its now a build I can use as a next step build when introducing someone to this hobby(shooting not building).I always start out with a 22lr(advantage arms g19). Then from there we move up to a 9mm.Now instead of moving to the 9mm, I can use this 5.7 build.Although ammo is a little under $1.00/round.
Big ups to u/kaewon and AWCY for this frame..
