It definitely probably isn’t helping with fitment, or how smooth the mag will slide in. But i don’t know I have never printed one fuzzy all around.

Thank u very much do u think the fussy skin on the inside is weakening the strength of the frame at all?

  • u/Comfortable_Cry_8714 · 2024-05-19 17:01:13 UTC · score 1

I don’t see a contour setting but I see the fuzz skin ouside only same shit ?

    You using nylon ?

  • u/Gunsafe12 · 2024-05-19 06:25:56 UTC · score 3

No u have made gaps in the inside of the frame and where the rail sits it shouldn’t look like that u have made under extrusion and the fuzzy skin ain’t make it no better looking

  • u/Gunsafe12 · 2024-05-19 06:28:32 UTC · score 1

And you got mad stringing trust me calibrate your printer I want to see your prints lookin fire

  • u/Ak47Sahan · 2024-05-19 16:01:48 UTC · score 3

The contour setting would only fuzzy skin the outside.

  • u/Gunsafe12 · 2024-05-19 06:27:05 UTC · score 1

I bet u can pick it with your nail and the filament strings will come right up

  • u/Comfortable_Cry_8714 · 2024-05-19 16:01:11 UTC · score 1

May I ask what that would help but I’ll fs check out the contour setting anyways appreciate it

  • u/Comfortable_Cry_8714 · 2024-05-19 06:23:32 UTC · score 1

Are u referring to the last post I made with the little lines by the mag release?

  • u/Comfortable_Cry_8714 · 2024-05-19 06:34:42 UTC · score 1

Only imperfections i was trying to hide was small stuff on the outside not even the main reason I rlly tried it I liked how the fuzz looked anyways but I rlly appreciate the advice idk about it being that weak or I would of probly broke something when installing parts of braking or he parts in rn but never the less I don’t doubt u and I will do some investigating rn

  • u/Gunsafe12 · 2024-05-19 06:20:58 UTC · score 6

You have gaps in your walls instead of trying to hide imperfections fix em

  • u/Ak47Sahan · 2024-05-19 15:56:27 UTC · score 2

    Do contour only as well

Repost because I had it wrong, this is for the non-X Big Boy rifles:I've been working on a set of grips for the Henry Big Boy for someone and could use a few test fitters if anyone is interested. It is on my Odysee under "HenryBBX-PPS-PG-Body fitment test".

Does FMDA G26 frame with Gen5 slide lock spring accept Gen5 slides?

i’m working with an FMDA Glock 26 frame that has the Gen5 slide lock spring

Does this mean it’s compatible with a Gen5 G26 slide? Or is it still designed strictly for a Gen3/Gen4 slide, despite the Gen5 slide lock spring?

Just trying to figure out if I can run a full Gen5 upper on this.

    Thanks in advance!

FMDA G26 frame with Gen5 recoil spring cut — will a Gen5 slide work?

I recently recovered an old STL of an FMDA-style G26 frame (looks like DD26.2), and I noticed that the front recoil spring cut looks like it was designed for a Gen5 guide rod — it’s deeper and larger than the typical Gen3 spec.

The rest of the frame looks like a Gen3-based FMDA design, though I’m not sure if any internal dimensions were modified for Gen5 compatibility.

Has anyone successfully run a Gen5 G26 slide on one of these? If so, were there any fitment issues with the rails, slide stop cuts, or anything else I should watch out for?

Appreciate any insights or photos if you've done a similar build. 🙏

Hey, I only own a 3d printer and want to make a ghost gun, but sadly ghost gun kits arent available in my country, which is why i wanted to ask about buying a cnc machine to create my own parts, except i dont have a lot of budget...

Does anyone know a good cnc machine or 100% printed ghost gun?

    Thanks!

I fired a few shots, but I've noticed the shell expands inside the chamber and gets stuck, and I assume that's why it won't come out.

My question is, what is the correct chamber size for a .22lr?

If I have time, I'll upload a video on Sunday.

This is for the El Ratto Rev3. By the way, I made some minor modifications.

Printed lower coming to life slowly. The trigger well/fcg pin locations need to be brought back just a bit more for the hammer to not smack into the back of the pin and cause damage, but the pin holes are looking good and the little arch fits snug to the upper.

    More to come.

Put 80 rounds through it today. Having trouble getting it to consistently cycle the bolt. I might have gone too short on the buffer spring? Tried with and without the weighted bolt pusher and it felt the same.

I'm printing a frame, Print time is roughly 32 hours. I have tried printing my glock frame twice and both times it stops at a similar point about 18 hours in. Anyone else have this problem, or have any ideas of what could be happening? Print looks perfect when it stops. I've researched and have seen others print longer prints. At a dead end here if anyone can help.

As described in the title and video I’m working on a side charging up or for the orca platform I printed a couple different uppers in the past And the blue PA6GF upper is the one that lasted the longest as far as the charging handle indentation goes. Quite literally the only failure I have ever had with the orca platform PLA plus one seemed to last around 300 to 450 rounds whereas the PA six ones seem to give up around 600 rounds you end up with a reciprocating charging handle To alleviate this I’m working on a side charging upper and hopefully some type of plug to go in place of the regular charging handle

Still have no idea what caliber I plan to go with but I’m debating on a couple as of right now (338 arc, 350 legend, 50 beo, hell maybe even 7.62)

The upper is still super rough draft and as
