Just got this for cheap everything works so far (new to 3d printers) but I picked up a pei plate and cr touch auto leveling kit what slicer does everyone recommend? Does cura work good? I eventually want to test my hand on 2A prints but might save that for when I get a x1c depending on how this one treats me. If it prints good I’ll give it a shot. Anything will help.

The Ark @fosscad.io What would yall recommend for a first time ar build? I’ve done a few g19s but now I got the bug to build something bigger.

Trying to keep it relatively simple and low cost. I don’t need all top of the line parts.

Files are now sailing the sea on my ship. The package includes a base cheek riser, one with 2x slots for M3x5x4 threaded inserts (matches M3x10mm socket head cap screws), RH and LH deflectors. Additionally, both models are listed for sale on the Palmetto Polymer Supply* eBay shop.

This is our finalised .25 projectile that is pre rifled giving your smoothbore more reliability if applicable, this model fits a .177 lead hollowpoint projectile without need for adhesion just strong fingers. 😉 credit goes to NaturallyGorgeous our projectile designer and tester. Stay safe and stay free.

Working on a polymer AK handguard prototype using an heavily modified rpk16 handguard and could use some advice. I know high temp resistant polymer is a must (300°F+ heat resistance at least), and AK74-style heat shields are non-negotiable near the barrel. But I’m unsure about other high-heat zones and contact points.
Contact Points:
- The handguard retainer and trunnion area don’t get as hot as the barrel (usually), but should they still have shielding or metal reinforcement?
- Should I go with m70 style ferrule and some more metal reinforcement (trunnion area).
- I can potentially use bent round bar near handguard retainer (I don't know if this is necassary)
- References:
- Besides surplus AK74 handguards, what aftermarket designs handle heat well? (Zenitco? TDI?)

Insights
I ordered a frt because I got interested in making a gen 5 g23 build and it’s gonna be the frt build I make, what is the right size for a recoil spring/guide rod? Because I been seeing 20-22 lbs but I don’t want to make the mistake of having a heavier size. Also, am I gonna have to file something down or is it different for all people? Any insight would help, interested in making this build soon

Does anyone know what the breakline is for? It calls for one but from my research it dosent bend, I seems it's for getting air from a tank to the firearm. Does anyone have alternate (150-200psi) lines or tank for it?

First time printing a lower, chose the Chairmanwon 19v2 using some leftover PA612-CF from another project. Printed at 265C, .15 layer height, annealed at 100C for 16 hours. Pretty happy with it, though need to work on my supports.
From the images, any advice I should know? Only area of concern for me currently is the layer line by the lock block pin on one sided. Its more noticeable in person.
Also, printed this at 265C, temp tower calibration showed this was the best overhang/bridging/stringing temp. I read a lot of folks running at 290-300, I understand the possible benefit of better layer adhesion with the higher temp. However, is the possible tradeoff of slightly better layer adhesion worth worse overhangs/bridges?
Already, picked up 2 more lpk from Ar15discounts while on sale yesterday, and

The Ark @fosscad.io Air fryer dehydrating question
Originally posted by u/DishonorableAsian at 2025-06-10T13:50:04Z
Filament in question is fiberon pa6 cf20 So the air fryer i bought purely for drying had its temp and times listed but didnt specify for each setting. The dehydrate function goes to 180f for 24 hours, but fiberon drying temp on the website calls for 100c for 10 hours and annealing for 100c and 16 hours.
The fryer gets to those temps on the bake function, but doesn't go past the 1 hour mark. Will I be fine with drying and annealing for the 82c it hits in the dehydrate mode? Or do i need to hit that 100c and just keep adding one hour manually for 16 hours 💀

Hello friends
I was wondering what would happen if you were to shoot 9mm out of a 3d printed barrel,
Before the police raid my house I wanna say I have so far no intention of doing such things

Holy shit lol how long did that lower take if it had to switch colors every layer for so long. looks amazing nonetheless
