  • is there a metal/steel barrel one can buy instead of using a proto/printed barrel ? maybe a 10/22 or ar22 barrel ? i have all the other BOM parts.. i just would rather buy a barrel than printing/DIYing one.

  • put nearly 1k rounds through my various ok-boomer(kaewon) frames. both 9mm and 45acp.. all run and shoot super flat.

  • sounds like maybe some oil may be needed.. or maybe a lighter recoil spring ? maybe polishing/sanding the top of the frame to allow for the slide to go back far enough to reset the trigger. maybe also look into possibly clearing support material if printed rails down.

  • end of day the only changes youve made to the OG frame seem to be ergonomics. any other functional/structural changes youve made ?

  • yeah.. i picked up a MPA polymer magazine... just need to figure out which paddle to use. my experiment failed this afternoon.. the thing functions as long as it can pick up a round from the magazine. so for now its a mac-11 single shooter.. determined to get this to work though.

  • reprint seems to hold up better.. functional tests with snap caps looks hopeful. i believe there is some shrinkage with bambu's pla tough+. so i switched to polylite pla+ heading to range(family farm) in a bit.. so will report back ..

  • yeah... i actually had cycling success when at first with the fully printed mag. then it started to not hold onto rounds.. like in your pic.. the round would just end up in weird places in the upper.
