  • yeah.. thats what im seriously considering on doing. although inserts wont be available for two weeks.. sigh.. may just print up a glock based lowed..

  • have there been any 3d2a community members that have actually built lage based build ? uppers are crazy expensive. or maybe there is a less expensive alternative.. ??

  • facts!! and im here for it!

  • i get it... bless!

  • wouldnt mac-10 uppers work here ?

  • this mag should work.. since eveything should follow the 2011/1911 'spec'

Advantage Arms - STI 2011 Wide Body 10 Round Magazine

  • Advancedtactical

there are 1911 kits around 200 on egp. but those look to be unramped 45s.

for 9mm, ~300, for everything(complete 1911 9mm rampd kit + 2011 parts). seems to be the best deal right now.

  • yeah.. only issue is lack of lrho. but outside of that these things rock. im also a HUGE 3011 fan.

  • im guessing this hasnt been published yet.. i dont see it pop on the GCI nor via Odysee search

  • isnt a kit just a 1911 upper + lpk 2011 magcatch and magazine ?

    whats reasonably priced ?

for a 9mm i suppose the best route is a ria 9mm kit + 2011 parts which puts you around 400. thats without shopping... but yeah at a min it appears a kit would be about 300-400.

i know youre thinking more along the lines of 150-200(??) if a non-ramped 45, then yeah i suppose one could put together something in that price range. egp.

    respect for all your work..

  • is a 100% OEM factory fa needed to complete this build ?

or can this be built using OEM part "kits" or OEM + SCS parts ?

  • ill build them all.. what models are present in this pic ? i have two of these built and love them both. just wish they supported lrho.

    r3 r45

do all these slide support a side charging handle ? how do you remove the safety to support a side ch ?

  • yeah.. this build project is coming along.. good stuff.. thanks for all your work

  • yeah... i figured that out the other day. thanks for the confirmation though.

  • re: safety tumbler.

firured out the safety issue. the sear and trigger bar were not correctly installed.

now need to print another charging handle. i would say plastic charging handles are not it. will have to order a metal ch.

  • seems like the safety is blocking the trigger from fully coming down thuus pushing the sear/trigger block back to disengage/disconnect the hammer. im guessing the tumbler is supposed to roll back to allow the trigger to come down far enough ? what am i missing here ? will the mpa9mm safety selector work ?

outside of that, the build is complete.. i the meantime i can range test without the safety installed.
