  • I believe that is one of the chinese ham radio devices he tapkabout first couples of minutes into the video. Probably stock. 40 seconds on-ish

  • hell yeah!

  • Whats your favorite meshtastic device?

  • Thanks! Let us know how the card works!

  • Got a link to what your looking at? I was thinking of trying some daily carries. I kinda want one of the ones that come with a keyboard.

  • For me all 4 have the same ussue. V3. Hope you have a better time with it than me. Im thinking of trying out some other models.

I have two 3000mah on 2 helteks and they last around 28 hours with wifi or bluetooth. And about 10 hours more without any wifi/bluetooth.

  • Ive been having a heck of a time with the helteks lately. Its such a power hungry board. My battery full charge will only last for a day before needing another charge. And any time the power goes out for more than 5 mins the device resets its name. No idra why. Its been really difficult lately.

  • Oh nice. Didnt know about this project.

  • The closest i found is pulling the code down to a local git server and runningbthe build myself then usingbthe pythpn tool to get everythingbsetup. Took a long time. And dependencies are all online.

Honestly nothing in the stack is prepated for a true internet outage. You can maybe get the bin/images files in case of a SHTF moment, but thats about it.

Oh i may have interpreted the question wrpng. Woops. Well its still a comsideration. Dependencies are all liabilities waiting tp happen.

  • Oh that us strange. I just temember what happened to the switch emulation community. They all went off github after the initial takedowns and now the just dont develop on github.

  • Never have these kind of projects on github, they makebit easy to pull projects like this. Sad news.

  • I've had more luck with CLIENT_BASE just fyi for roof nodes and another smaller device for general messages. Hope you have fun!

  • Found out you get around 10 hours more withput WiFi and Bluetooth.

  • I always do 'python3 -m venv venv'

Then activate. Then your usually good.

  • Why avoid the shell executor on docker? I did 4years of gitlab back a bit ago. It was super simple. But I haven't kept up since work maintains actions and Travis. And there's a way nowadays to inject the env or pull from a secret server-ish.

All ci is basically the same. Or at least for a while.

  • Circleci, Travis, and gitlab all allow you to ssh into the box you are trying your scripts on and fix it there. Much easier and takes a lot less time. Github actions have an unofficial way of doing it and is....not the best. Actions is actually one of the worst CIs I'm my experience.

  • Around 28 hours with WiFi on. Its kinda annoying how long it takes to charge 4+ hours from 0 to 100.

And it resets its name if the power ever goes out for more than 10 mins. That sucks.

Not terrible for a daily carry but not something I would take with me for trips.

  • Yeah. Works well.

    2.7.9

  • Yep you want it, you make it.
