My friend is currently building a nameless any caliber launcher, only for decorative purposes of course, because we all know how it is in the EU. But he still wants to be able to insert shells, dry fire it and remove them. So as a barrel he is using a 42,00 mm OD seamless steel tubing and of course the 42,00mm OD barrel retainer. But heres the Problem, the milc shell base has a rim outer diameter of 42,80 mm so of course the shell rim wont fit in the barrel retainer. If he is downscaling the entire shell, the brass pipe for the hull wont fit. right now the brass pipe fits perfectly (it is pr

Getting ready to assemble my urutau, but now considering CNCing several of the higher load parts out of aluminum. I'm thinking of several of the internals (safety bar) for smoother operations and then possibly the barrel retainer and cading a remixed upper receiver so the part that receives the barrel is aluminum as well. Question for the guncad designers out there:
Currently designing a chassis for the 10/22. I want the hand guard and the stock to be separate, so i can take the gun down without having to remove the take down screw. Currently the stock is secured to the receiver with friction between the receiver and the stock, as well as 2 plugs in the recoil buffer slot, see picture 2. The tolerance is tight, when i push the plugs in as shown, there are audible clicks from the layer lines of the plugs. Everything is made from PLA +. I've put about 100 rounds through it without anything coming loose.
So the question is: Would you trust this design to hold up? Would it be better to make one continuous plug that also acts as a recoil buffer?

Well I was rooting for Rare Breed to win their legal battle, but now they want to ban all other quick triggers, like FRT’s, for their binary model. 👎🏻 As of last time I checked, a couple weeks ago, frttriggers dot com would pull up the site that makes the famed FRT for delta team tactical. Seems as of late rare breed either bought rights to the webpage and now own the rights to the patent or fought in court for patent infringement. The video titled,” Fraud” likely explains this. my frt hadn’t been working at all from failure to feeds and failure to ejects i cut the connector(3.5 lb) upgraded spring and i sanded and polished everything down but it still don’t work should i give this a try before i give up on it ? all help is appreciated
