I use Permatex Super lube. Synthetic non staining and clear. Took them completely out and then used brake clean to remove any debris. Add light layer all the way up. Run the gantry up and down a few times and then wipe off the excess with a lint free towel.

Its just aesthetics for the most part, it snapped along that line because layer lines are the weakest part of a print, however really bad zbanding can make it worse, theres 1000's of videos on youtube that can help you solve it.

Thanks, will do! The bottom corner? It's a sig style stock so I think that's just the texturing on the back of it

It's just aesthetics? I don't care about that but I had a frame snap right along the path of a big line so I was just wanting the strongest possible print

As wavy as the corner looks I'd say you have loose eccentric nuts on x or y but layer lines like this could be caused by so many different things. Just spend an afternoon and run through all the calibrations

Check your z screw. It could be dirty or dry.

I got rid of them fully by upgrading my ender to a belt driven z axis. Search on Thingiverse, the person who designed the files has a whole web page dedicated to the different orientations and links to the parts you need to buy. The kit I got was like 35$ and the printed parts aren't very hard to print. I used CF nylon for my part cuz I print in an enclosure and I just never want to worry about any softening from the brackets.

Actually, here is the link to the page. I'd call it a worthwhile and affordable upgrade.

Possible z axis issue, but more likely, slow the print down. Try 60-80mm/sec.

You can try and make the filament spool roll with less resistance, like print one of those stands with the 608 bearings so it rolls and unspools with less resistance. That way there isn't a drag on the filament while it's being fed through the extruder. Easiest way to see some results. Then there's other things like the extruder gears being machined with lesser quality causing the layers to look like that and the filament being used having variations in thickness. Generally they're not going to effect the strength though, unless it's under extruded bad.

Better than PLA+ at least. But yes, just construct it in the same manner as the 3DP90 and you'll solve both the weight and the bending problem at the same time.

I printed this G26 frame and am fairly happy with it. It’s definitely rougher in some spots. I printed it rails up and with black PLA+. 6 walls and 100% infill. Any ideas on how I can make this look a bit cleaner? Best to print rails down? Thanks

Currently in testing stages, but only have PLA. I understand that PLA is not good enough for activities. Ive seen a lot of suggestions for PLA+. I am curious about people's success/failures, or thoughts with PETG. Also want to hear what people think is best, and why. (Is it less likely to crack, easier to print, etc.)

I tried my hand at print a fmda **.*. It appears like it printed well but pulling off the supports it looks pretty rough underneath. I followed the readme to a T but feels like I messed up somewhere. I understand I’ll have a little cleanup to do but is there setting that I’m missing to mitigate some of the clean up?

    TIA

Looking at some of the video reviews out there on the DB Alloy and saw some of the extended straight Glock mags can sometimes have feeding issues. I was curious is anyone’s used the Overwatch Mod2 MP5 mags and how well those worked?

Alright everyone. I have been searching for months now but CANNOT seem to find an STL for the Glock 43 P80 frame. The only reason I specifically want the P80 is because I already have a lower kit for it and don't want to go and buy a different one. Any recommendations are appreciated!!!!

Although not sure about the release spring.Should I try a 'heavier' spring ?I'm using OEM G22 mags. They work fine in my G22 build.

Multi-color Prints with Single Color Printer?

Is there any good way to print multi-color prints, such as the Milglockee, Makilla, etc. (just as a couple of examples), when your printer can only print one filament at a time?

I've got the Adventurer 5M pro, and I know there is an aftermarket mod for it, but I've also heard that it can be temperamental to get working, and is kind of expensive, being more than half the price of the entire machine. Plus, it looks like it has a lot of excess waste.
