Looks good, you could tune your supports so there’s not so much material left after removal. (I’m assuming that’s where the extra trigger guard material is from) I’d shoot it tho. Good job 👍

Spooky. I’d calibrate your printer first boss man 😂😂. I can see inbetween the slide and frame a lot of peeled back material suggesting either you didn’t sand it when it needed it or you did.

Shouldn’t need to sand prints if your printer is calibrated. And in this picture all this material either means over extrusion, under extrusion, z offset, leveling, a lot of things that’d make prints supper weak and brittle. I’d shoot this one with a string if I saw that trigger guard material 😂

I'm pretty much in the same boat. I was hoping it was going to be a launching point for more design variety like the MAC11, but nothing else has been done. Price of the kit was even dropped substantially which is another poke to those that adopted early. Would have rather have a MAC kit and $150.

Yeah I've got a complete build that's been sitting around forever waiting for a testfire. During that time they sent me the new muzzle device. Thank fuck I didn't try it before. Also my channel for the charging handle wasn't tapped real well and I really had to crank on it with pliers/vicegrips. Not too impressed with MAF so far. Also not really stoked to take the TacDaddy out to the range. Been a few times and just said "Naaw, I'll wait a bit for that one." Also seriously waiting for a better remix of the lower. Have attempted several times in tinkercad to get rid of that curve at the front and add a bit of rail, but haven't found a design to settle on yet. Total noob at that.

The overall idea is really cool, but it seems lackluster when compared to other designs. Absolutely in love with my MacDaddy build, in fact was a little let down it felt much nicer than my expensive ar9 build. Word on the street is the next version will have LRBHO which would make it a very viable option for actual defense use, cherry on top is that the heavy ass front end negates most muzzle rise.

Long story short the TacDaddy seemed like an awesome idea on paper. Not so much when applied to real life.

Didn’t notice any binding , just tightened normally but didn’t over tighten

I had to use a pair of pliers to get leverage on it, mine wasn't tapped well at all.

Between this and the undersize muzzle devices, MAF has been screwed pretty hard by their TAC-9 manufacturer.

Not home atm but yes using both recoil springs, they actually had to send a replacement spring when I first received the order because the smaller of the two wasn’t the correct OD

Honestly not sure what it’s made of but MAF did just respond so that’s a plus. They are sending another replacement 🎉

Your charging handle is hitting the rear of the charging handle's slot, and it's shearing (think scissors). The harder a metal, the less elastic it is. Mean the less it will bend or deform. Your charging handle seems pretty hard as it broke and not bent, in only two rounds.

As others have said, add some type of shim to the inner rear of your receiver to prevent the charging handle from contacting the rear of the slot.

A sten gun has a similar arrangement. A 6mm charging handle slot with a 10mm hole to allow disassembly. During firing, the charging handle never comes into contact with either end of its charging slot. I think yours is a little off.

  • u/illegalbutwhy · 2023-04-12 23:08:58 UTC · score 1

When you tightened the charging handle down did it kind of bind at the end of the channel? Asking because that's what mine does, I have to have the charging handle a little loose for the bolt to fully reciprocate. I havent shot it yet.

Would sticking a washer in the back fix this issue?

Glad MAF responded and are making it right! I am probably going to design and print a TPU buffer once I get mine assembled. I'll upload it to the sea once tested.

Not sure about the size but with some monkey fist bashing it should bend into fit/might work in a pinch.

Side note if your OEM or whatever you use doesn’t stick into your squirted glizzy don’t be afraid to get the tip hot and stick it in..

Hello everyone so i was wondering how hard do you think it would be to design a semi auto pocket pistol in 5.7x28? It seems like it would be the perfect caliber for a small compact handgun considering its centerfired and you can stack it like a rifle mag plus the low recoil. Now i know power wise it probably wouldn't do a lot of damage but I think it would be neat

So I thought to myself if commercially available suppressors use wipes, why not use TPU for the whole suppressor. After printing a TPU suppressor and having it in my Hand I kinda had the urge to order pink TPU Filament and make a new Design with two expansion chambers and a bigger tip. So here it's sailing under the name "TPU Suppressors". Made for .22lr! I made a few versions and tested three different Filaments -had the best results using Overture TPU. They can easily be printed with the threads ready to screw it to a muzzle. Of course you must obey your local laws!!! (Also added a model with a regular 7mm through hole if you really want to print it in PLA, but here you may have to cut the threads again with a tap to make it fit.) Going to upload a video in a separate post

So i have a pdw honey badger 11.5 clone in 5.56. I had to buy a special honeybadger buffer spring and weight in order to get my SS running smoothly. . I've shot it a couple times over the past few weeks putting a 30 round mag threw it on different occasions. Well yesterday me and my friends went out to my range where i gave it hell for the first time and it ran fine the first 100 rounds "3 mags or so" but then it started dead triggering. . Was running 62 grain green tips then swapped over to 55 grain fmj's when it started to dead trigger. Ran 1 mag of the 55 grain and it ran fine then started to dead trigger again on the 2nd mag. Any suggestions on what it could be? Field stripped the trigger and hammer and both are fine, along with the SS. It just isnt running right, could it be over heating and causing it to malfunct

How do i go about safely making a gun like the ez22 in Canada. What are the big no's to avoid any unwanted attention or possibly legal action against me. Just turned 18 and got my PAL license and would prefer not to have a criminal record, effectively ruining the rest of my life please.

Also, side note: Do gun ranges check what gun i bring in? Dont wanna end up reported by some range i go to to use my guns.

The title says it all. Ambi selector for the kabuto safety. Uses an m3 bolt and heat insert to hold the right side on. Also added a pocket in the middle for a steel rod to reinforce the selector. Sailing Also included is a hollow pin for kabuto to add the same steel rod as extra reinforcment
