Hello gents, I’ve come to you seeking some advice. Working on printing out this G3 lower in tough PLA. Any suggestions for me? Lower print speed maybe? It looks like I have a few areas with over extrusion? Not sure if that’s a temperature, cooling, or speed. Maybe even just the fill pattern? Played with the fuzzy skin as well, pretty cool stuff. PS don’t mind the short grip, I ran out of filament towards the end.

Dipping my toes in nylon, and have run into some problems. 1st, it seems to run best at 290°, vendor recommendation is 260°, and I have a spice pi dryer, the 2kg one, but based on the looks of my prints and the stringing it seemed like it's not actually drying it, is it possible to over dry nylon?

I'm about to pull the trigger on an x1c combo, but I need some advice on filaments. From research it seems like polymaker polymax pla | pla pro are some of the more generally recommended filaments for most projects, but what bambu filaments would you recommend I pickup to get started printing and take advantage of their sale?

It's just airsoft, but I figured I would share it here. Thingiverse thing 6567519 and the carry handle is from the chitin defense files (but it didn't fit that well). Video shooting it.
(For NFA reasons I feel the need to say that this is airsoft only, and this printed model can not be converted into a firearm and is NOT an SBR)
(I'm probably about to get clowned for the smudged camera)

I just want to signal boost the 3pos reset trigger Kabuto Filearms is working on. The poor fitting on the first release left me skeptical, but he followed up with a new version within days and I’m impressed. It fit perfectly in my MonoPoly, and I spent some time today remixing it to fit into the much narrower pocket of an SF5 lower. It only took me a couple hours to get a functional POC together, and I’m now confident this thing will be remixable for every platform we see the SS in now.
In the long term, using SCS plates to reinforce it is also on my radar, but we need some torture tests on them to get a better idea of what would even be necessary, as the reset interface wear on this design seems much milder already.

I attempt to upgrade my db9-22 to super safe last night, but I was unable to find a functioning rear trunnion that didn’t cause the bolt and lever to lock up at the rear. Does anyone know where I could find a file or has anyone done this yet? I was hoping for it to just work but I’m starting to think files may need to be modified further.
The Ark @fosscad.io Maine's eventual new requirement on PMFs - can you DIY it?

I know FMDA, etc etc...
But hypothetically, if I'm into letting steppers step (don't kink shame) does this new bill just allow me to seralize the firearm myself or does it need to be done by an FFL? What about fed regulations? My google-fu says yes I can just serialize it myself per this law + fed rules but wanted to check how you all do it if you live in a state that has similar requirements.

For anyone who needed one, I like it just a little better than Laffs'brace. I did use the Laff XL PDW sights though. I modified the rear sight by cutting the inner lip off one side so I could pop it over the top instead of sliding it all the way down the rail.
Forgive the unfinished business end, I have to reprint the hand guard.

For the release on the deAR22 do I just need to purchase a dedicated 22 barrel like this: BoreBuddy Blaster 22lr Barrel (Lengths: 4.5, 7, 16") - BoreBuddy https://share.google/s6h6ONiznGBIqtXkU
And a collar like this: 22lr Barrel Collar - BoreBuddy https://borebuddy.com/product/22lr-barrel-collar/
I already have the CMMG drop in bolt carrier group.
If you recommend or suggest another setup, please let me know.
Thanks in advance.
The Ark @fosscad.io Would you be interested by a very compact electrically ignited pistol?

Hello,
Would you be interested by a design with 4 or 6 inline barrels and electrically fired pistol? I tried to take inspiration from the Bayle pistol to make a very compact pocket pistol without the need to have a semi-auto mechanism (need modern ammo and smokeless power for that) and not going the revolver way (too wide).
I tried designing a purely mecanical system but it's a nightmare, I get why it never got popular. But I can do that purely electrically using nichrome ignition, an ATtiny13, 4 mosfets, few res and a small Li-ion battery. The nichrome wire would be in a sealed cartridge, so reloading woul be like the classic.
I have tested it, it ignites BP everytime and instantly. Combined with pepper cartridges it would be like the guardian angel from Piexon, but with more shots, and reloadable.

I just hit 1000 rounds through my DB9 Alloy today! Most of them super safe because, of course. I’ve burned through about 25 stainless steel trip bars and two PLA+ mags but the PA6-GF for the frame has help up perfectly.
What about yall? 3D2A has come a long way in the last few years

I’ve seen this on other Tacdaddys as well.Looks like the handle is hitting the back. You can see the deformation at the back circle. I haven’t put mine together but I’ll probably be putting 1 or 2 large washers at the back to hopefully prevent this.
