  • The fact that it's its own app. That plus resistance to change, from what I can tell.

  • The bot might not be responding since you marked your account as a bot too.

  • Talking about those feed lips? Are you sure it's fan speed and not bed adhesion? Those look like sheer layer shifts, like it started wiggling off the plate and the printer deposited the layers incorrectly. It can happen with these tall guys, especially when you print 2 and the head has to travel between them and potentially impart higher-energy travel forces into the part.

Either way, material settings should let you set minimum layer times. It'll slow the extrusions down. May also wanna make good use of your gcode viewer by switching between layer time and fan rate views.

  • For sure man.

  • You got one-guy'd. I'm chatting with bildo now to get some clarity regarding their stance on mentioning the site.

  • Also OP, your reddit username would be appreciated

  • It has to do with the compute. They may speak the same protocols to Bambu network services and have similar underlying drivers, but the X1 has a full fucking ARM Linux board in that head unit where the P1S runs a random microcontroller. x1plus is a custom Linux distro with an ARM bootloader, not too dissimilar to a RasPi.

  • Smol stuff, but it gives another forward-facing stat for those curious. It's a rolling "this month" -- the past 4 weeks, not everything from the calendar month.

  • As an X1C user, I agree wholeheartedly. I'd also advise those of us who have X1s to run the x1plus custom firmware, as it enables more freedom to manipulate your printer and lets you actually have faith in LAN Mode.

  • I wonder how much you can mitigate that with a printed receiver and a Proto Barrel. More plastic, less metal, quieter action?

  • you a real one <3

  • You've got two approaches to fixing safety wobble:

    1. Take a consistent-diameter dowel and fashion your own detent; or
    2. Reprint and step-down the detent hole with multiple bits. You want to run a smaller-diameter bit through it that corresponds to the smaller diameter of the detent, then a larger one just deep enough to let the detent present to the cam properly without overextension. I forget which bits you need, but they're common imperial sizes

There are one or two remixes for the SF5, but no major forks of it. Can try a monolithic lower or tapered handguard if you'd like.

  • How many rounds has this thing been through, what troubleshooting steps have you attempted, and how consistent is the malfunction? Does it happen with other magazines?
